by Richard Dredge Forget the hand-me-down Jaguar XJS base - the DB7 is thoroughly deserving of the hallowed Aston Martin crest. With those gorgeous lines, fabulous six or 12-cylinder powerplants and reasonable purchase costs for most derivatives, the DB7 is perhaps the most sensible ultra-prestigious GT around. But V12 cars are far more costly to run than their six-cylinder siblings, so don't rush out to buy a Vantage unless you know what you're letting yourself in for. |
